Lessons In Excellence From An Auto Repair Shop

Larry’s AutoWorks’ Legacy Lives On

Mountain View, CA, April 6, 2017–It’s not often that people can point to a small business that makes a mark on their industry and the community but Larry’s AutoWorks is one that stands out as it closes its doors forever after 45 years as an icon of excellence in the South Bay.

Larry’s AutoWorks is known in the auto repair industry for their leadership in responding to environmental issues, customer service, and employee engagement.  Owners, Larry and Laurie Moore, are known for their consummate networking, helping businesses and individuals in a variety of ways. As they retire, they leave behind a legacy that will be remembered by their customers, colleagues, and competition.

Highly respected in their industry, Larry’s AutoWorks received many accolades over the years—Diamond Certified Award, Top Ten Shops in the US, ASE Shop of Excellence, and Outstanding Small Business.  Larry and Laurie Moore changed the way many auto repair shops do business today.  Larry innovated an employee performance and productivity system that, over the years, has been adopted by some of the most productive, high-quality mechanical service and repair businesses in California.  They also made their mark as a “Green Business” and California Model Pollution Prevention Facility helping reduce pollutants from automobiles in the San Francisco Bay.

Ralph Foglein, European Auto Works, Sunnyvale, says, “Your Immense contribution
to the auto repair industry over the last 30+ years will be irreplaceable
and a huge loss.  Hats off to you both.”

Voted “Best Auto Repair” for 14 years, customers appreciated Larry’s AutoWorks’ friendly, customer-focused ambience and quality work from highly trained technicians with over 40 hours of training each year to stay on top of the latest technology.  Their vehicle specialists used only the highest quality parts and the latest diagnostic equipment to assure vehicle reliability and predictive maintenance to keep long-term operating costs to a minimum.   Larry’s was the only shop in the South Bay to give a three-year or 36,000-mile written warranty on all repairs.

Lara, a client, comments, “Thank you for your wonderful service.  I always knew
our cars were safe in your hands.  We will miss you and your entire team!”

To ease the transition for customers, Larry and Laurie have posted auto shop referrals and other important information on their website  http://autoworks.com.

Larry and Laurie were members of the Peninsula Executives Association for over 35 years.  They attribute much of their success to their relationship with the other quality businesses on the Peninsula represented in the organization.
